wood-ni is committed to growing the timber industry in Northern Ireland through education and promotion.
We are the only Wood products organisation in Northern Ireland and are primarily engaged in marketing timber based products. Our member companies cover the whole province offering architects, the building trade and the general public an unrivalled level of knowledge and expertise.
wood-ni represents the full spectrum of the supply chain from manufacturers, merchants and importers to agents and distributors, as well associated businesses. We give trade seminars in subjects such as flooring and wood preservation as well as offering networking opportunities with specifiers, architects, engineers and designers. We also organise study tours and social events for the timber trade and architects. wood ni promotes a high standard of business practice particularly in relation to quality, legality and sustainability, liaising with organizations such as the European Timber trade Assocation (FEBO) and the Timber Research and Development Association (TRADA).
wood-ni works closely with the Royal Society of Ulster Architects and is the main sponsor of the 2008 RSUA Design Awards. As well as offering seminars on subjects such as CE marketing and study tours, the event is an opportunity for wood-ni to promote wood products to builders and architects.
